What To Expect

First Time Visitor

If you are visiting Carterville for the first time we first want you to know that we are thankful that you have chosen to do so. We know that there are many churches to choose from in our area and we are grateful that you are choosing to visit Carterville. When you arrive you will be greeted by smiling faces and people that are happy to see you.

Carterville is a church where the people are laid back, casual, and ready to grow, serve, and love. We want to make your experience as great as it can possibly be. We want you to know that you are loved and appreciated.

Start Times

For Sundays, our Sunday School groups begin at 9:30 and our morning worship begins at 10:30. Adult Sunday School groups meet in the Education Building, College groups meet in the Chapel, Student groups meet in the Fellowship Hall, and children are in the Children’s Building.

Wednesday night activities begin at 5:00 with our Family Meal in the Fellowship Hall. At 6:00 our discipleship activities begin. Adult classes are located throughout the Fellowship Hall. Students meet as a large group inside the Fellowship Hall before they break out into small groups. Our college group meets at 7:15 in the Chapel.

Dress Code

At Carterville, we know one of the biggest questions visitors struggle with when visiting a church is, “What do I wear?” We do not have a dress code. You will see most people dressed very casual, while some may wear a suit or nice dress. Most will men will wear khaki pants or jeans and a polo or collared dress shirt. Most women will wear pants, or a casual dress. We go to church to worship, not make a fashion statement.

Parking

We have reserved spots for guests next to the main building on campus. From these spots you will notice the white and black signs that will lead you to the nearest Connection Point.

We know that some of you would rather blend in and not park in the guest spots, and that is ok! Just look out for the white and black signage that will give you directions.
