WE WILL “GO”

At Carterville Baptist Church we have a deep desire to live out the Great Commission by going out into our community and around the world to see people come to know Jesus Christ. One way we accomplish this is through our great mission partners. Some of these partners meet the needs of so many by providing food, water, and shelter. Others have planted churches in areas that God is ready to do a great work. Our vision for missions is that Carterville will not just be a church that only sends a check, but we will have a hands-on relationship with those we serve and do missions with.

CHRISTIAN SERVICES

Christian Services is a multi-faceted ministry through which men and women can come together from individual churches and organizations to demonstrate love to a world of people who are in bondage to poverty, ignorance, anger, frustration, and loneliness.  For some, Christian Services offers a controlled environment in which to be separated from their old lifestyles while they learn new values and habits.  For others, it is a place where a high standard of values and conduct is continually being lifted up as an example to those who have been disillusioned and/or misled.

THE 10/40 PROJECT

One of our global missions partners is the 10/40 Project. The 10/40 Project is focused on using teams to bring the Gospel to this part of the world. The 10/40 Window is an area of the world with great poverty that lacks access to Christian resources. It is populated by people who are predominantly Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, animist, Jewish or atheist. Many governments in the 10/40 Window are opposed to Christian work within their borders.

Carterville routinely sends teams to Burkina Faso to serve with this ministry.
