Our Purpose:   The Carterville Performing Arts Institute is a ministry of Carterville Baptist Church with two purposes:

  • Musical Training –  to encourage teaching and training in the performance skills of music and the related arts
  • Wholesome Environment – to provide a convenient place in a wholesome Christian environment for instructors to teach and for students to learn

Instructional Areas:   The Carterville Performing Arts Institute currently offers weekly instruction in the following areas:

  • Voice
  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Trumpet

Your Invitation:  You are invited to register for lessons in the Carterville Performing Arts Institute.  Let us help you develop your talent and enrich your life.  The Performing Arts Institute is staffed by qualified, competent instructors who will teach from a Christian perspective and encourage students to develop their God-given talents to their fullest potential.

Please call the Music Office (601) 545-1010 for additional information.

Tuition and Payment Options:  A non-refundable fee of $10.00 is due upon registration each semester.  The cost per semester may vary by the length of each instructor's semester and the instrument studied.

Payment for lessons and the registration fee will always be in advance of lessons.  Payments must be made by cash or check to the instructor at each lesson or at the beginning of the month.

Music Fees:  The student will be responsible to the instructor for the cost of music and festival fees.

Make-Up/Cancelations:

  • The Music Institute does not require instructors to make-up lessons missed due to student illness, student school/work requirements or other untimely conflicts.
  • Instructors who must cancel lessons for any reason will seek to make up the lesson at a mutually agreeable time.
  • The Music Institute will observe the Petal School District calendar.  If schools close for an emergency, the Institute will close and the instructor will seek to arrange a make-up lesson.

Termination:  In the event a student/parent wishes to terminate instruction, a thirty-day notice is required.  The student/parent will be responsible for classes/lessons that occur within thirty days from the date notice is given.
